RASIT is an international non-governmental organization affiliated with the United Nations Department of Public Information, and has
the Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council.

The association with the United Nations includes clear objectives, strategies, and measures to address concerns raised by the
United Nations and its entities as well as RASIT. More broadly, it represents a strategic vision for better serving human well-being.

    - recognition of outstanding contributions to science education and public services
    - education and public awareness
    - science and education policy
    - integrated health and social affairs
    - arts and culture

The achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and RASIT Development Goals through developing
partnership for science, education, health and economy development in the years to 2016 and beyond.

To recognise, promote, and support excellence in science, education, health, economy and global development policies; and to
encourage the development and use of science for the benefit of humanity, with a clear consideration for the different needs of
different societies and cultures.

Added Value
To be an institutional platform bringing together and enhancing the interaction of members and partners focused on improving the
situation of science, education, economy and integrated health, and working across science, technology, and medicine education,
research and industry.  In essence, the membership with RASIT enables members to share strategies, align objectives and
resources, and agree on interventions to achieve more together than they would have been able to achieve individually.

RASIT is administered by the Executive Board elected from the League’s members, and undertakes the day-to-day administration
of its work plan.
