RASIT’s remarkable partnership with the United Nations agencies, Departments, Member States, intergovernmental organizations, private sector, civil society, and individuals have been its signature since 1968.



RASIT AND GOVERNMENTS





RASIT partners with governments to help them with different forms of support for country-driven priorities and strategies, in line with its strategic plan and the United Nations 2030 Development Agenda. On the ground, RASIT collaborates with national, regional, and local authorities. RASIT greatly values the trust and support of all its Governmental partners.



RASIT AND UNITED NATIONS SYSTEM





The Royal Academy of Science International Trust possesses consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council and is associated with the Department of Global Communications.


Since 1968, RASIT has been working in close collaboration and partnership with the United Nations and its agencies to deliver coherent, effective, and efficient support to countries and multi-stakeholders seeking to achieve sustainable development. Throughout the years, RASIT has been collaborating with UNESCO, DESA, DGC, FAO, ILO, WHO, UNFPA, UNHCR, UNICEF, UN Women, UNDP, UNEP, and the Regional Economic Commissions.



RASIT AND THE PRIVATE SECTOR





International Financial Institutions are an important source of development funding. The private sector also can make an important contribution to development by fostering innovation, providing funding, and promoting entrepreneurship. The Financial Institutions and Private Sector account for a substantial portion of the project-specific funding of RASIT socio-economic sustainable programs.


RASIT’s partnership with the private sector also has various forms, including:

  • Facilitate dialogue between the public and private sectors on a specific development theme or industry sector
  • Provide solutions for development challenges through core business activities and initiatives
  • Mobilize private sector financial and in-kind resources for sustainable development solutions
  • Leverage innovative financing and partnerships solutions to mobilize private capital for the implementation of the socio-economic sustainable development programs
  • Involving the private sector on key policy development.


RASIT AND THE CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS AND FOUNDATIONS





RASIT recognizes the tremendous knowledge that foundations and Civil Society Organizations offer, ranging from governance and environment to health and financial inclusion, and works with them at the community level to better address local issues.


RASIT partners with Foundations and Civil Society Organizations in program implementation and policy advocacy. On the ground, and at the community level, this often means working with local Civil Society Organizations to implement project-based initiatives in the areas of, inter alia, health, education, water, and agriculture, among others.



GOODWILL AMBASSADORS, SPOKESPERSONS AND ADVOCATES





RASIT has long enlisted the voluntary services and support of prominent figures as Goodwill Ambassadors, Spokespersons and Advocates to shine a spotlight on important issues affecting our planet and its people. These well-known individuals share a commitment to making the planet a better place.
